The new Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is continuing to put pressure on President Biden to cancel $50k in federal student loan debt. I think it's pretty well known that Biden is currently against this idea, but he kind of did hint at it during his presidential campaign trail. Not in a straight forward kind of way, but more so that he wasn't against it. But now is the time to act on this if he's going to do it at all. We have Schumer and Elizabeth Warren continuously putting pressure on Biden to make this happen. And I think now would be the best time to do so. It would help alot of people right now and earn Biden some major, major brownie points.

If it's going to happen now makes the most sense, when Congress and the entire country is on board with economic relief. In a year or two it might feel much less likely. I do think Biden is against it and is just paying lip service to the more liberal in his party. I think he would be on board with a much smaller amount, say $10k.

I can't agree more. Lots of stuff that really could help Americans has a better chance than it ever has to pass right now, more than ever.
